Blake Jackson has every reason to be proud. As president of seven Peterbilt dealerships in Idaho, Utah and Colorado, Blake was recently recognized by the international corporate office of Peterbilt, Inc. as the North American Dealer of the Year for his Idaho Falls Peterbilt dealership.
Blake told me the Idaho Falls dealership achieved excellent results in key performance areas such as market share, market growth, parts and service sales and customer service. In addition to winning the North American Dealer of the Year, Blake's companies also received two highly coveted Platinum Oval awards recognizing Peterbilt's sales and service excellence in Idaho Falls and Salt Lake City.
Winning awards is nothing new for the Jackson family and the Peterbilt dealerships they operate; they also received the runner up Dealer of the Year Award for outstanding dealership performance in 2006 and 2007.
Blake started in the industry by working for his father, Eric Jackson, at a young age. Eric purchased his first franchise in July 1977, a GMC store in Salt Lake City. The small GMC operation later expanded into Peterbilt heavy truck franchises. In 2006, Blake and Eric formed the Jackson Group by combining their multiple dealerships and Blake took the helm.
Despite being singled out for the North American Dealer of the Year award, Blake recognizes that the achievement is largely credited to his great employees and the early start and thorough education he received from his father. When Blake received the award, he was regarded as an example of what dedication, vision and commitment to Peterbilt can achieve.
