ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- Fire crews strengthened fire lines around most of the Blue Springs fire 30 miles north of St. George on Sunday, and expected to have the 12,286-acre fire fully contained on Monday.
The Diamond Complex fire, which has burned 11,128 acres north of St. George, was 95 percent contained on Sunday and full containment was expected Monday, fire officials said.
More than 80 firefighters and eight engines from the Diamond Complex blaze were to patrol the St. George area on Monday in case of any new fire starts.
