(KSL News) A field fire in Memory Grove threatened several homes.
It happened late last night. Wind helped the blaze spread quickly.
Kurt Cook/ Battalion Chief, Salt Lake City Fire Dept.: "It took about 30 minutes to stop this thing. It got within about 100 yards of the homes."
Officials say it's somewhat suspicious, because there were people near the field when the fire started.
Just down the street at 700 N. Sandhurst Drive, another field fire broke out, but crews quickly put it out.
