OGDEN -- Ogden High School's football coach has been suspended after a dispute over use of the school's football field.
According to the Standard-Examiner, police reports show there was a dispute and confrontation between the coach, Eric Eyre, and assistant band coach Richard Stolides on Aug. 19. The football field had been double-scheduled. The argument was over who was going to use the field—the football team or the band.
The school district told KSL Newsradio that Eyre was suspended over a personnel issue. Neither the district nor the school will confirm whether the dispute is the reason for Eyre's suspension.
Eyre missed the Tigers' season-opening win over Murray Friday. It's unclear when he'll return to the sidelines.
