(KSL News) -- A man is behind bars after getting into a fight with a Salt Lake County Sheriff's Deputy.
Authorities got a call that Lyle Davis was allegedly slashing tires and knocking over mailboxes in an industrial area of Salt Lake.
When the deputy arrived, Davis ran away.
Once the deputy caught up with him, Davis pulled out a screw driver. But the deputy was able to subdue him with pepper spray and, with the help of a civilian.
Authorities say Davis also had a knife.
