(KSL News) -- A Kearns home burned to the ground this morning and it is totally destroyed.
Neighbors called 911 after seeing smoke coming out of the house (4900 W. 5320 S.), at about 6:30.
Firefighters arrived quickly, but the flames were already throughout much of the house.
Investigators are still trying to figure out where and how the fire started and whether the house had smoke detectors.
The family got out of the home safely.
