Just got word from BYU Football Media Relations Director Brett Pyne that an MRI has confirmed an ACL tear in OL Houston Reynolds' right knee.

*******

Reynolds is a 6'3", 295-pound return missionary freshman who was playing as the primary backup at right guard. He also saw a few snaps as a third-string center earlier in camp. He previously missed roughly a week of practices with a quad strain.

*******

While a recovery prognosis has not been offered, the injury would have to be considered season-ending, barring any unforeseen developments.

*******

Reynolds' brother Matt remains out with a broken hand--it is hoped he is able to play in the season opener versus Oklahoma.
