SALT LAKE CITY -- The state's upcoming fall fight against swine flu just got a $5 million boost from the federal government.
Some of the money will help pay for things like antiviral medication and statewide surveillance. The bulk of it, though, will go to the state's health departments for mass vaccinations.
State health officials expect the H1N1 vaccine to arrive as soon as next month. Vaccinations will be voluntary.
Though state health officials are gearing up for an outbreak, they say it appears cases of swine flu here are going down.
The Utah Department of Health says there have been 300 people hospitalized with the virus to date; 17 have died.
