(KSL News) -- Many people have holiday traditions that they observe every year and we found a Utah County man who has created a special decoration in his house -- it's a Christmas Village!
"It's just a fun thing to do for the holidays and the kids enjoy it."
In the entryway of Brett Latimer's home in Cedar Hills is a miniature community during the holidays with trains, ski trams and ice hockey players that actually move! Even Santa and the Reindeer!
This village has evolved over the years. It never looks exactly the same from year to year and Brett is always adding something new.
Brett Latimer: "You have to stand here for a little while to see all the knicks and knacks that are going on, which makes it kind of fun."
This year's village measures about 12 by 7 feet. It takes several days to get everything in place and working. The miniature lighting alone is quite the job!
Latimer usually starts creating the village around Halloween and always leaves it up well after the new year.
Brett Latimer: "We haven't lived that long in this area, so it's kind of a fun way to meet people. We just kind of let them know that we have this little village and come on by. Kids and adults both enjoy checking it out."
