Fire investigators say someone deliberately set two fires that burned inside a Salt Lake City junior high school that's under construction.

The flames broke out just after 8 p.m. Thursday at Hillside Intermediate School near 2400 East and 1900 South.

Salt Lake City Fire Department spokesman Scott Freitag says someone set fires in two classrooms.

Crews were able to the put the flames out before serious damage was done to the new building, though some construction supplies were burned.

Investigators haven't pinpointed how the fire was ignited, but say they're confident it was arsonKSL Newsradio's Andrew Adams has details from Hillside Intermediate School, for Utah's Morning News.
