(KSL News) A new report on a controversial explosion planned for the Nevada Test site says it would not expose anyone to radioactive dust.
The concern is that the so-called "Divine Strake" test would scatter radioactive material from previous weapons tests across Nevada and into Southern Utah.
The report by the Defense Threat Reduction Agency says there is radioactive material near the proposed blast site., but it's extremely unlikely it would be stirred back into the air.
There will be public meetings on the Divine Strake in Salt Lake January 10th and in St. George January 11th.
