Andrew Adams ReportingWal-Mart is trying again in Cedar Hills, offering up a proposal to bring a smaller store to town.
The store would be about 45-thousand square feet smaller than a Wal-Mart Super Store, and would be more aesthetically pleasing. City Councilman Jim Perry gives the plan a decent shot.
Jim Perry: "The signs are that we are going to be able to work something out and we're there as far as the size and the concerns that we had last week . We're cautiously optimistic, but also very excited."
The store would go in across the street from Lone Peak High School. The company says it could bring in as many as 350 jobs. In 2003 the city and residents resisted a Wal-Mart saying it "just didn't fit."
The big-box could be coming to Cedar Hills after all.
