SALT LAKE CITY -- Funeral services for an 8-year-old boy who fell into Jordan River over a month ago was held Friday. Family and friends gathered at Calvary Baptist Church to lay Trejon Fite to rest.
The boy fell into the Jordan River on June 13 while crossing a pipe that was over a canal. Police called off the search for his body on July 2 after searchers turned up with nothing.

The family organized their own search and found Trejon's body on Aug. 1 along the shores of the Great Salt Lake, about 15 miles from where he fell in.
