(KSL News) A billion-dollar boom in the copper business has turned out to be good news for the homeless.
Kennecott Utah Copper today announced a donation of 250,000 dollars to The Road Home, an organization that supports the homeless. A check will be presented during The Road Home's "radiothon" fund-raiser that starts tomorrow.
Kennecott's profits shot up to over a billion dollars the last two years because of high copper prices.
