SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body was found at the bottom of Mountain Dell Dam.

Salt Lake County Sheriff's Lt. Don Hutson says it's not clear whether the man, about 60, jumped off the dam or was pushed over it. He fell 100 feet onto the concrete below, The Salt Lake Tribune reported on its Web site Monday.

The dam is near Interstate 80 in Parleys Canyon.

A water department employee found the man's body Monday. Authorities say they found a pair of eyeglasses on the top of the dam but could not find the man's car.

The man's body has been taken to the Utah Medical Examiner's Office. He has not been identified.
