LOGAN, Utah (AP) -- Two U.S. Forest Service roads outside of Logan will be closed this week as part of a project to repair and replace culverts.

Officials at the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest say the closures begin Monday and are expected to last through Thursday.

Closures include Franklin Basin Road, which extends from the Logan Canyon National Scenic Byway on U.S. Highway 89 to the Utah/Idaho border.

The Temple Fork Road will also close from the scenic byway to Long Hollow Road.

Forest officials say the closure will allow crews to remove and replace culverts.

Additional road closures in the area are expected in September to accommodate bridge replacements.
