Lori Brinton: "I'm enjoying the season, but ‘tis the season for it to be hectic and crazy and this is the last week so, it's the big rush today and tomorrow get everything out."
Tomorrow is a good goal because if this line looks long to you now, Ron Hubrich says just wait a couple of days.
Post Office Spokesperson: "Monday is our busiest day of the year so we are gearing up for that."
Of course stores are busy, too.
Erin Gilbert: "I'm on a break from work. I have two hours and I'm making the most of it."
Like many people Erin Gilbert is shopping for a wide variety of gifts.
Erin Gilbert: "Stuff for my dogs, my mom's dogs, tools for my husband, and that's all on my list that's left."
The hot holiday gifts this year aren't really a surprise. Electronics--especially video games and digital cameras. Elmo TMX is the big toy this year. And the most popular gifts are actually gift cards according to American Express.
It would be difficult to find anyone who doesn't want a plasma TV or a video iPod, but stores that cater to the most eccentric shopper are also finding a lot of success.
