SALT LAKE CITY -- Fox producers say they could to find America's next favorite dancer in Salt Lake City this week. They are coming back to Utah to hold auditions on Friday afternoon at the Rose Wagner Theater.

"So You Think You Can Dance" is coming back to Utah because co-producer Jeff Thacker says they have been very lucky here before.

"There is a great quality in Utah, that's why we are coming back. We rarely come back to a city on a regular basis," he said.

Brandi Evans and Brandon Bryant are two dancers with Utah ties that are in the top 20 this season. Four Utahns were in the top 20 last season.

The auditions will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at the Rose Wagner Theater. It's a later start than in other cities because of the Pioneer Day festivities downtown.

Thacker says they are prepared to stay late if need be.

"Without question we will see you. We won't turn anyone away," he said.

Thacker says the judges will be looking not just for good dance technique, but also personality and character. He says if you think you have that star quality, come on by.
