Paul Nelson ReportingEmployment analysts say Utah's job market is one of the strongest in the country. They say Utah companies should hire many new employees in January.
A new survey says Utah's job market has been getting better for the past two years. These University of Utah students say they've noticed this as they apply for jobs.
"It seems to be better now. It seems like there are more opportunities and what not."
"When I moved here three years ago, I had a really hard time finding a job.
Manpower Spokesman Robert Katz: "It's a great job market right now."
Manpower Employment Outlook Spokesman Robert Katz says 47% of surveyed plan to expand jobs, while only three percent plan to scale back.
Manpower Spokesman Robert Katz: "Salt Lake actually came back as the eighth strongest survey in the country, out of the over 400 markets that we do the survey in."
Katz says, with the exception of the period right before the 2002 Olympics, this is the strongest job growth he's seen in 30 years.
