(KSL News) A six-vehicle wreck snarled traffic on I-15 tonight.
Northbound traffic around 18th South had come to a standstill, but the driver of a pickup truck didn't notice.
Sgt. Martin Turner, Utah Highway Patrol: "The five were stopped along with all the rest of the traffic. The pickup truck towing the fifth wheel trailer came in freeway speed and just collided into the stopped traffic."
Four people were taken to hospitals with minor injuries, but troopers say because of the speed involved, the injuries could have been a lot worse.
One of the cars was carrying Roman candles. They're contraband, but the troopers were more concerned about getting the wreck cleaned up, and didn't cite the driver for the illegal fireworks.
