SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The United Way of Salt Lake is making a late push to get more substitute Santas before Christmas.
The organization's "Sub for Santa" program is looking for cash, clothing and toys to help needy children who may not be getting presents this year.
United Way spokesman Bryson Despain says gloves, hats, children's clothing and toys are still needed. He says volunteers are also in short supply.
Eligibility for the program is based on the poverty level. For a family of four, that's an annual income of less than 20-thousand dollars.
