(KSL News) -- With only days left in the Congressional session a number of bills backed by Utah lawmakers are getting the green light.
A number of the bills were sponsored by Senator Orrin Hatch -- including those to extend tax credits for electricity produced by geothermal energy -- and to increase tax credits for teachers who buy classroom supplies to 250 dollars a year.
A bill endorsed by both Hatch and Representative Chris Cannon also passed. It requires bad reactions to Dietary Supplements to be reported to the Food and Drug Administration.
Currently those reports are voluntary.
