Logically, I should have gotten the Swine Flu, but for some reason I've escaped it. Not only do I work in close quarters with Amanda, Zak and a number of other people here at KSL who have had it, but I also touch and read into the same microphone muff and touch all of the same surfaces. So what's the deal?
If nothing else, the significant stress I've been under in the past few months should have done me in. I can't even claim to be eating healthy or consistently exercising. I even have a 13-year-old that gets the influenza nearly every year. He had a nasty bout during the regular flu season. Plus, I've even been on an airplane and shared the same air with a hundred other Utahans.
I hope I haven't jinxed myself. Obviously, it's not something I've done right. While I always wash my hands a lot, I've never worn a mask or taken any other precautions. I think I just got lucky this time.
