Former Cougars Trent Plaisted and Lee Cummard will be in action on the same day for the first time at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas later today.

Plaisted's Detroit Pistons team has already played two of its five games, while Cummard's Phoenix Suns entry opens play this afternoon. The Suns and Pistons will then play on Wednesday and Friday, with rest days Tuesday and Thursday. The Pistons schedule concludes Friday, while the Suns will play their fourth and fifth games on Saturday and Sunday.

You can track the games, check schedules, rosters and boxes at the NBA's Summer League website.

The week after the Mountain West Conference Football Media Days in Las Vegas, we'll start our two-week countdown to BYU camp with a daily trivia question referencing the 25th anniversary of BYU's National Championship season.

Starting on Monday, July 27th, I'll drop in a 1984 BYU Football brain-teaser, with the answer revealed the next day, along with another question. We'll do two weeks' worth of questions, probably take a break for camp, then come back with more daily questions starting the week of the Oklahoma game--with in-season questions in one way or another referencing that week's game or opponent.

We're not playing for prizes or anything; just keeping your cranium active and giving my stats guru Ralph Sokolowsky something to keep him occupied during his golden retirement years.
