(KSL New) -- After 30 years of service, UTA says its making a high-tech change to its ski bus program.
UTA is launching a program to speed up the boarding process on ski buses. The pilot program would allow riders to use "contactless" credit and debit cards. Riders will be able to touch cards to a reader to pay for their trip. The reader only recognizes cards with an embedded microchip.
UTA partnered with other companies to design the special pass. If the program is a success, they plan to expand the service to all UTA buses.
