(KSL News) This morning's High Five is going to a Sugarhouse man who, after serving his community, is now serving his wife!

Carrie Batchelor says when her dad retired from the Salt Lake City Police Department he planned to travel, but instead is taking care of his wife after a serious accident.

Willie Stoler worked as a police officer for 35 years. He also served as a Salt Lake City councilman.

After his retirement, his wife fell and broke several bones. He's been her primary caregiver for the past 15 years.

Carrie Batchelor/ Nominated father: "We're here to honor you and thank you for taking such good care of Mom for the past 15 years."

"You've been her caretaker for 24 hours a day, seven days a week and we want to tell you we think you're amazing and we love you."

Willie Stoler: "Actually it's my wife who deserves the honor for putting up with me, because men aren't very good caretakers. They just try."
