PAROWAN -- Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board will be on the scene of a deadly glider plane crash in Parowan.
Iron County sheriff's deputies tell the Salt Lake Tribune the plane plunged 2,000 feet into a field a mile west of I-15 during a glider competition Monday.
The glider's motor-powered propeller apparently wasn't working after it released from a tow plane.
The pilot, a man from Colorado, was killed. His name has not been released pending notification of family members.
