(KSL News) Building plans have been approved for the new LDS temple in South Jordan.

The Deseret Morning News reports the city's planning commission passed the site plans without hesitation.

The 60-thousand-square-foot temple is going up in the Daybreak community off 11000 South and 4000 West.

Groundbreaking ceremonies will be held on December 16th and completion of the temple is expected in 2008.

The LDS church announced that another temple will be built in the Salt Lake Valley, but no word yet on the exact location.
