OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- A doctor accused of sexually molesting a female patient while she was sedated for oral surgery has been sentenced.

Yesterday, a judge ordered Dr. Wade Dee Martineau of Ogden to serve a year in jail. He pleaded no contest to second-degree forcible sexual abuse and witness tampering. He was also ordered to pay a $2,500 fine and serve three years of probation.

Court documents say the 48-year-old doctor told a co-worker about the incident, who then informed the victim.

State officials say Martineau's dental license has expired, and he voluntarily surrendered his medical license in October 2004.
