West Valley City -- Maintenance work on westbound Interstate 215 begins Friday, June 19 from 4700 South to State Road 201.
UDOT crews will be grinding concrete as they correct pavement deterioration and potholes.
The work is intended to extend the life of the pavement and provide an improved, quieter driving surface.

Work is expected to be completed in mid-September.
Work will occur primarily at night from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. During that time, lanes will be reduced from four to two. When no construction is taking place, lane restrictions will be lifted and restored to the usual four lanes.
However, starting in July, work is expected to occur from 7 p.m. until 12 p.m. and two traffic lanes closed throughout the weekends.
