EAGLE MOUNTAIN -- An Eagle Mountain woman is preparing to send her husband to Iraq for second time, and Wednesday she was honored for their sacrifice.
A fire engine escorted Kindra Jones and her children to their newly renovated yard. Over the past few days volunteers relandscaped her home while Kindra and her kids relaxed in Park City.
"I'm so excited! I'm overwhelmed! I'm still trying to get my head wrapped around this whole thing," Kindra said. "It's amazing all the hard work and all the beautiful things that everyone put in."
Jones received Eagle Mountain's 2009 Tribute to a Hero award not only for supporting her husband, but other soldiers as well. She started a foundation called A Soldier's Promise that helps soldiers who deal with post-traumatic stress disorder.
