WILLARD, Utah (AP) -- Officials in northern Utah say they'll have to lower Willard Bay by about ten feet to fix a leak in the reservoir.
The dike that separates the bay and the Great Salt Lake began leaking more than a week ago for the first time in 40 years. Long-term repairs could last through winter.
The reservoir is a major source of water for northern Utah. Fortunately, other reservoirs in the Weber Basin Water system are at 50 percent capacity -- and that's healthy for this time of year.
