SPANISH FORK -- Police made a second arrest Saturday afternoon in connection with a home burglary and theft of an AK-47 and a Ford Mustang.
Matthew M. Parker was arrested and booked into the Utah County Jail on charges of burglary, theft of a firearm and theft of a vehicle.
Early Saturday morning, police arrested 22-year-old Kib David Gneiting in connection with the same crime.
Police say it doesn't appear the stolen assault rifle had been fired. Other property from the burglary has been recovered as well and is in the custody of the Spanish Fork Police Department. The Ford Mustang was found parked behind a Provo home.
Sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning, thieves broke into a home in the area of 300 South and 750 West, making off with a laptop, an Xbox, two rifles, an AK-47, and a 2006 Mustang.
Detectives from the Spanish Fork Police Department are still conducting further interviews with witness and additional arrests may occur. They say the suspects arrested are known to the victims.
