MURRAY, Utah (AP) -- Police have identified a 19-year-old man who died in a motorcycle crash last week in Murray.

Murray police say Jan Grayson Eyring, of Magna, was riding with a passenger on May 19 when they collided with a vehicle turning left.

The men on the bike were thrown nearly 20 feet and both suffered serious head injuries. They were taken to a hospital, where Eyring was pronounced dead. The driver of the car was treated at the scene and released.

Murray police detective Kenny Bass says Eyring was not wearing a helmet but his passenger was.

No one was cited in the crash.
