Murray -- A motorcycle accident killed one person and critically injured another in Murray Tuesday evening.

Police say the motorcycle was headed southbound on the Van Winkle Expressway when it collided with a car that was making a left-hand turn onto the street at about 4700 South.

The motorcycle driver and a passenger were thrown from the bike; both were badly injured and taken to a hospital, where the driver died.

The passenger is in critical condition, but the driver of the car wasn't hurt.
