SALT LAKE CITY -- A man accused of beating his girlfriend's dog did not take a plea deal as expected.
Anthony Spidle was supposed to plead to a charge of animal cruelty Thursday morning and be sentenced immediately after. However, he did not, and now prosecutors could bring more charges against him.
Spidle is also facing domestic abuse charges in connection with an alleged attack on his ex-girlfriend.
If he is convicted of the charges, he could face prison time.
