WAYNE COUNTY -- Drug agents have dismantled a huge marijuana growing operation in south-central Utah.
A resident of Wayne County discovered the grow on Sunday and reported it to local officials. By the time deputies arrived, the growers had fled.
Agents seized more than 29,000 marijuana plants. They believe the operation had been underway for just a few weeks.
It appears drug cartels are moving to Utah to grow marijuana, trying to take advantage of remote areas in the state.
