BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) -- A Utah couple caught using stolen credit card numbers in Billings has been sentenced and ordered to pay nearly $24,000 in restitution.
U.S. District Judge Richard Cebull sentenced Frank Miranda to four years and seven months in prison while his wife, Valerie Pena, was sentenced to the 584 days she has served in federal custody.
The couple pleaded guilty in February to conspiracy to commit access device fraud.
The two were arrested in May 2007 when Miranda tried to pick up an order at a restaurant using a stolen credit card.
Investigators found numerous credit card receipts and items purchased with stolen credit card numbers with the defendants.
Prosecutors say Pena obtained four credit card numbers while she worked at a call center for Verizon Wireless.
