PRICE, Utah (AP) -- A former Carbon County drug court supervisor has been sentenced to 120 days in jail after pleading guilty to having sex with an offender and tampering with drug tests.

Seventh District Court Judge Lyle Anderson on Wednesday also sentenced Melanie Madill to pay more than $1,200 in restitution.

Madill, 42, pleaded guilty in March to one count of custodial sexual relations and three counts of evidence tampering.

She resigned in February from her job as a jail corrections officer supervising offenders participating in the county's drug court.

Prosecutors say Madill was involved in a romantic relationship with an offender and helped him and two others pass drug tests.
