SUGAR HOUSE -- A severed gas line forced the evacuation of several homes in a Sugar House neighborhood Wednesday.
Fire officials say crews were renovating a home at 1828 E. Laird Ave. when they severed the line while digging out a window well.
They called for help and residents of several nearby homes were evacuated until the gas line was repaired.
No one was injured and no property damage was done. Everyone has been allowed back into their homes.
