(KSL News) More people continue to call Utah home.

Over 2.6 million people now live here. That's according to the Utah Population Estimates Committee.

That's almost a 3 percent increase from 2005 and approximately the population of Saint George.

Almost 53-thousand babies have been born in Utah so far this year.

The state's largest counties, Salt Lake and Utah, both saw growth with an increase of more than 18 thousand people each.
