SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Authorities have identified the body of a man they found in Strawberry Reservoir while searching for the bodies of an Orem couple.
The Wasatch County Sheriff's Office said Tuesday the body they found on Saturday is that of Drake McMillan, a Salt Lake City man who was reported missing Aug. 31, 2001.
McMillan was 46 when he was reported to have jumped into the water to swim near the Narrows area of Strawberry Reservoir.
Authorities found McMillan's body while using sonar to search for Steven Roundy, 29, and his 23-year-old wife Catheryn Springer Roundy, who disappeared when their 14-foot aluminum boat sank Wednesday.
The couple has been missing since Nov. 8 and are presumed to have drowned. The search remained on standby Tuesday because of rough weather, a dispatcher said.
Strawberry Reservoir, which covers about 26 square miles in mountainous Uinta National Forest, is about 60 miles southeast of Salt Lake City.
The Orem couple were fishing with Steven Roundy's brother, Kimball Roundy, and a friend, Mike New, who made it to shore after waves swamped the boat. They straggled barefoot two miles to a highway and alerted a trooper to the plight of the couple, who swam in a different direction.
The sunken boat has not been recovered.
