(KSL News) -- Tow trucks usually are sent to an accident scene, but early this morning it was the tow truck that was part of the accident.
On California Avenue near 10th West, the driver of a truck swerved to avoid a dog that was in the road, and slammed into a tree.
The driver was OK, but a female passengers was pinned inside.
Firefighters responded to free her from the wreckage. A helicopter took her to the hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
