(KSL News) -- A large belly dump truck collapsed on Beck Street this afternoon and forced the closure of northbound traffic for almost two hours.
The highway patrol says U-bolts on the axle broke as the truck made a turn onto Beck Street. It was overweight by nearly 21-thousand pounds.
The truck, owned by Reynolds Brother Excavating, had just been filled at Lakeview Rock Products.
The highway patrol asked crews at nearby Staker Parson's to help unload the mess so the truck could be moved.
