(KSL News) -- Northridge High School honored Utahns who have served in Iraq this morning. It was part of a special Veteran's Day assembly at the Layton school.

It included a video tribute to all of the Utahns who have died during the war.

The parents of Army Private Dan Dolan attended the event to receive a special honor from the school. Dolan died in a roadside bombing in Iraq in August.

Northridge's principal thanked the Dolans for their son's sacrifice. He also showed gratitude to other Utah soldiers who were serving overseas.

Northridge High School has over 650 students with family in the US military.
