(KSL News) A family dispute leads to a police standoff. Now one man is in the hospital.

Police say the man attacked a family member, who is believed to be his sister, with a knife.

Standoff Ends, Suspect Sent to Hospital

She called police and then the man barricaded himself inside the home in Magna.

Police say Gerald Seager was coming down off a drug high when he threatened to commit suicide. The standoff only lasted a short time.

Seager was taken to the hospital for a stab wound. He will go to jail and faces charges of felony assault.

Police say he does have a criminal history.
