FARMINGTON, Utah (AP) -- The first flu case of the season has been reported in Davis County.
The county's health department made the announcement yesterday.
Health officials say regardless of whether this means an active flu season is starting, officials are urging people to get immunized.
Health officials believe the case is the first of many to come. As of yesterday, the Utah Department of Health reported statewide that one person has been hospitalized as a result of the flu.
Clinics and health departments throughout the state are now offering flu vaccinations. Peak times for the influenza are usually in December, January or February.
