SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A hiker is recovering this morning after being stranded in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
Dispatchers say a 28-year-old man called for help on his cell phone yesterday after he got "cliffed out" in an area above Alta. The man got too tired and ran out of water around 4:30 p-m.
A short time later, a helicopter was able to drop a care package, including water, to the man. Then finally at 9:30 last night, crews were able to rescue the stranded hiker.
