SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Three Utah wildlife refuges and fish hatcheries will get $231,000 in stimulus funds from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said Sunday while in Helena, Mont., that the money -- totaling $280 million for projects across the nation -- will create jobs and promote conservation.
Interior Department officials say $125,000 will go to the Jones Hole National Fish Hatchery in Vernal.
The Bear River Migratory Bird Refuges based in Brigham City will get $56,000 and Fish Springs National Wildlife Refuge headquartered in Dugway will get $50,000.
The money is part of the $787 billion stimulus package that Congress passed earlier this year.
