SALT LAKE CITY -- Medical students from the University of Utah hit the pool, hopped on bikes and tied up their running shoes Saturday for the ninth annual Fourth Street Clinic triathlon.
The students teamed up with the American Medical Student Association to host the event. All proceeds go to the Fourth Street Health Clinic in Salt Lake.
Event Coordinator Melody Anderson said, "It's important to give back to the community and get out of the books and realize real life out there."
Last year, students raised $11,000 to help homeless, uninsured Utahns.
